Edit Lock
|
Can someone explain to me what the edit lock is supposed to do? I see there is tab for it under layer properties and when I go to edit a layer I see I am able to select lock and then the feature changes to what you have set under properties. What I dont get is it still allows you to edit fields in the table along with being able to delete the feature. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated, as I am unable to find anything in the help file.

Printing
|
I have noticed when printing if you have layers grouped and turn the group off but leave so they dont show up in your map. The problem is when you go to print everything shows up because they are still checked on by the layer and turning the group doesnt seem to control in the printing window. This also happens with infotips being visible, as you have to shut the layers off instead of just being able to turn the group off. One other thing if you save a printing template as a landscape and then close out and bring the template back up it defaults back to portrait.

Custom Linestyles
|
Does anyone know if we are able to create our own linestyles to use and what format they have to be in. I want to be able to have a custom linestyle for utility data with the line having a something for example like 6W or 8S. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Drawing Graphics
|
When I draw a line or polygon and want to copy and paste that line or polygon somewhere else it seems to disappear and not able to paste the graphic.

Custom Linestyles
|
I created a 32x32 bmp with ---W--- in it. I set the bmp on the custom path under pen and when I hit refresh. It doesnt allow you to set the size and the display looks to be squashed.

Problem loading MrSID images
|
I tried a offsite installation of AccuGlobe and Im getting error messages with the MrSID images.
On opening the project files we get an error for each MrSID township mosaic that reads
Error: Failed to open C:\gisdata\imagerydata\mrsid_imagery\monroe_bean_blossom.sid
Failed to find LisardTech Library.
The files are in place and the data layer properties look correct as far as I can tell.
At that location, I could create a new blank project and add one of the MrSID images to it. But for the existing project, I could not add one of these images to the project, even after deleting the existing imagery data layers first. I got that same error message.
