I just recentaly down loaded a bunch of updated for 2007 and now my right click functions such as adding points to a polygon layer or editing text will not respond at all??? This problem is not project specific. Anyone have any ideas?????

Try holding the Shift key down to add a point or the Control key down to remove a point.
The popup menu now appears holding down Shift and right clicking.
