It would be most helpful to have the ability to copy through “calculate” the values of a column from a “related” table into a new column in the original table on a “per selection” or on an “all records” basis.

Hi Ben,
Listing related fields in a calculate has been requested a couple of times and im happy to say that it has made it into the next build of 2007. It should be available via the web updater later this week.
However, you will need to create a new field first via the table designer.
